Dr. Rodney Calvert, who is a senior geophysicist of Shell International Exploration and Production Company and a SEG Distinguished Lecturer, came to China for taking a lecture from August 16 to 17, 2005. The training-class entitled “Insights and Methods for 4D Reservoir Monitoring and Characterization” was sponsored by BGP. There are 60 participants in the class.

Dr. Paul Weimer，who is a professor at the University of Colorado and a SEG Distinguished Lecturer, came to China for taking a lecture from August 5 to 6, 2004. The training-class entitled “Petroleum Systems of Deepwater Settings” was sponsored by BGP. There are 80 participants in the class.

Dr. Olivier Dubrule, Who is a manager of the Geoscience Training and Communication Department at TotalFinaElf and a SEG Distinguished Lecturer, came to China for taking a lecture from August 27 to 28, 2003. The training-class entitled “Geostatistics for Seismic Data Integration in Earth Models” was sponsored by BGP. There are 100 participants in the class.

Dr. Leon Thomsen, Who is a Principal Geophysicist of BP Amoco’s Upstream Technology Group in Houston and a SEG Distinguished Lecturer, came to China for taking a lecture from May 23 to 24, 2002. The training-class entitled “Understanding Seismic Anisotropy in Exploration and Exploitation” was sponsored by BGP. There are 120 participants in the class.
